[This is a duplicate post of my article on American Writes]

The last time I cried when praying over the fate of our country was November 5, 2008. The day after Barack Obama was elected. That morning, as we start out every day, I gathered the family for our morning prayer. And I couldn’t make it through.

Tonight, I hit my knees thanking The Lord for Scott Brown’s victory. And I wept again.

That’s not really unusual for me, though, because I cry when I hear the Star Spangled Banner or see a National Cemetery.

Today, in Massachusetts, a shot was heard around the world, 234 years after the first one was fired in that same colony on a bridge near Concord. Each marking the beginning of a fight against despotism.

Barack Obama, to the delight of conservatives, has the Medusa touch. Far from the legendary Midas, all he touches turns to stone and plummets with amazing speed and predictability:

New Jersey Governor
Virginia Governor
New York 23
Massachusetts Senator
The Olympics

As much as Republicans eschewed the support of George W. Bush in the 2008 election, Barack Obama is now looking at 256 inimical faces in the House and 18 in the Senate. Some incumbents, while safe, may still push for Mr. Obama’s programs, but they will do so knowing the majority of Democrats are jittery at supporting anything Obama pushes.

They don’t want to sink like a rock. Or Barack.

Conservatives, the fight is not over!

We must beat unmercifully the weakened enemy and hit them in their bum knee. It is now time to expose the liberalism in all corners of our republic – Democrat and RINO. We must expose their support for programs that are intended to take our liberties and centralize power in the Federal government. We must continue to remind voters that these same aristocratic “honorables” were…

…the ones who refused to meet us in August to talk about the issues;
…the ones who voted for Cap & Trade;
…the ones who gave you stimulus-led inflation that will arrive in half a year;
…the ones who use your money to support killing babies while calling it health care;
…the ones who support our veterans while denying support for our soldiers in the field;
…the ones who want to give immature children prophylactics to encourage them to engage in relationships they are psychologically unprepared to handle and then blame parents whom they don’t allow to discipline those same kids;
…the ones who want your guns so you can’t protect yourself from them;
…the ones who give enemy soldiers the rights of US Citizens and try them in our courts;
…the ones who use and accept your money to be bribed into voting for things that will take that money and your rights from you.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE ONES WHO TOOK YOUR CONSTITUTION AND SHOVED IT IN YOUR FACE AND YELLED “SO WHAT?!?”

Your “representatives” will begin bringing home the bacon, telling you how much they have done for you with the big checks they are bearing at the expense of “stimulus.” Remind them, Patriot, that they stole that money from our fellow citizens across the state border and from our children and grandchildren.

Do not let their arrogance take foot. Do not let this victory in Massachusetts give you cause to pause and sigh with relief.

Get up off your knees from praying in thanksgiving, and FIGHT!

Right now, the enemy reels in confusion. Attack with a vengeance of truth and justice. Do not lie or interrupt. Do not pretend or waffle. Simply state the truth.

Always keep faith in the wisdom of our Founding Fathers and the Providential design that led them through His divine intervention to create His City on the Hill. Our Founding Fathers were not infallible; they were humble servants of the Truth.

Serve the Truth, Conservative, and it will set you free!

Colorado Capone

Colorado Capone here. My apologies to all… I started blogging a lot in the beginning, but school started up again and balancing school and a full-time job is no easy feat. Be that as it may.

I wanted to throw out some ideas here for all. And these ideas are reflective upon the lack of time we have:

1. Why are you not voicing your opinion?
I have seen a drastic downtick on contacting elected representatives by TEA Party movement members. We cannot allow ourselves to succumb to complacency, which is what is taking place. Write your senators, write your congressman; we can NOT allow ourselves to let the powerful go unchecked. Lord knows we don’t have the fourth-estate media as they are already in the tank for the left-leaning establishment.

2. Re-taking the free-market “high ground”.
Our system of free-enterprise economics is by no means perfect. We all know this; however, when you look at the other type of system being rapidly introduced, including government-run health care and cap-and-tax legislation, we’re seeing the decline of freedom and the rise of socialist overtones coming from the halls of Congress and even our fellow citizens who support such short-sighted legislation. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Learn about the legislation coming forth, including the Senate Finance Committee’s health care legislation that recently pass committee. Arming yourself with knowledge allows you to attack and push back that which puts us all on the brink of losing our great Nation. This should get you started.

3. Lastly, all politics is local.
We’ve heard this before. Well, it deserves to be said once again. The strength of the TEA Party movement, in my opinion, is that it rallies everyday Americans to become part of the political landscape in their own, small way. And what better way to make a difference than to get involved with local politics. Here in Colorado Springs, we have significant pieces of legislation affecting the local political environment, including a citizen petition known as “Issue 300.” Here’s a link to learn more about this issue, but basically one of our local lower tax patriots, Douglas Bruce, is fighting for the people by taking away the “fees” imposed by the city which are hidden taxes. Long story short, GET INVOLVED! Find out what issues are affecting your local government and citizenry, and become part of the solution, versus being a by-standard. This is the core task for TEA Party Patriots …. motivated, ordinary citizens fed up with not having a voice in the poisonous cesspool of today’s political environment.

Until next time, my fellow mobsters…

Well they can’t dress up that pig of a Health Care Bill enough to fool the American People, so now they are going to try to get our minds off the health care issue, by skewering our ONE agency that keeps us safe: THE CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY.

The Democratic Party has slunk to a new low; and you thought they had slunk as low as they could go!!! I am so dumb struck by their sleazy gutter methods, that it almost escapes me that they are also actually really DUMB…

After the HEALTH CARE ISSUE, what is absolutely NEXT on the list of important issues to the American People ????? YOU GOT IT, KEEPING THE COUNTRY SAFE!! And in poll after poll, the American People have come down on the side of safety – WE DON’T WANT ANOTHER 9/11 leave the people doing their jobs ALONE!!

This most recent decision to go after those men who were charged with getting information for our safety, is TRANSPARENT… And I believe that THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE KNOW AS I, THAT THE CIA SAVED US MORE GRIEF AND MISERY… SO TRYING TO SKEWER THEM NOW, JUST TO SAVE THEIR POLITICAL ASSES IS PERFIDY AT IT’S MOST TOXIC.

YES, THE DEMOCRATS ARE NOW SO DESPERATE AS TO RISK OUR SECURITY TO GET THEIR WAY….. I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT THE RANK AND FILE DEMOCRATS (NOT THE PAID THUGS) THE VOTERS, WILL SUPPORT THIS PATHETIC SHOW OF EFFETE SUPERIORITY…

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WHITEHOUSE FOR SINKING TO A NEW LOW!!!!

So just north of Pensacola FL. the principal of Pace HS (public), Frank Lay (pictured) asked the athletic director, Robert Freeman to say a brief blessing an appreciation luncheon for those who helped move toward a new field house.

This sort of prayer/blessing is offered every day in our congress. Now, because the principal shortsightedly did something that would have been routine 5-10 yrs ago, in the face of an earlier injunction as a result of an ACLU case, he and the Athletic Director are facing fines of up to $5,000 and possibly 6 months in Federal jail. They have also been told by the state (Bd of Ed?) that they could lose their RETIREMENTS if the case holds up – for saying a prayer at a faculty/booster luncheon.

I understand that the principal and athletic director are being said to be guilty of what might at best be misdemeanor offenses by PRAYING ILLEGALLY (I cannot believe my country has come to this when we used to read Old Testament scripture in my elementary classes) – however the possible punishment and financial ramifications of this very innocent act seem extraordinarily out of line. This is a small rural HS with a very large part of the student body who have strong faith backgrounds. The prayers were said after school hours with NO STUDENTS present. The school caved to the ACLU previously by prohibiting a Christian student body president from speaking at graduation for fear she might say something offensively Christian. Once again the good of the many is being undermined for the peevishness of a very few.

At the same time, in the same America, we can have students on a college campus imitate hooded Gitmo prisoners kneeling on an American Flag, and then defacing it by drawing a swastika on it (this during a 9/11 memorial bipatisan rally) and there is no punishment.

When people say “I want my country back” it is because we are beginning to not recognize it anymore. Especially those of us over 50. And I have to admit there are moments when I have to remember all the current citizen and soldier warriors and the ones who have gone before to truly say I am proud of my country. I cannot believe I just wrote that.

I am proud of those who are standing up and reminding everyone who sees them who America is, no matter the smears placed on them by the powers that be. It is NOT a country that should allow the travesty that is happening to these two LIFELONG educators. If our citizens allow this we have only ourselves to blame.

-Gordon –

PS – just a note of thanks to the fine officers who peacefully dispersed a growing drug-related teen fight right outside my apartment that erupted while I was writing this. Some new “non-resident elements” are causing havoc in what has previously been a very safe place to live. Will appreciate your prayers that the leasing company gains some control of the situation.

This morning as I was going over the daily blah, blah, blah of the blogging community both left and right, and last night Glen Beck had mentioned a piece at salon.com, so I headed over and took a look. It was actually not the usual hack job, but still not a glowing review of those that are opposing the “Total Facelift of American Life”, a la Obama, but still not bad considering the source.

The writings, aptly named “WAR ROOM” are bylined by Alex Koppleman, it was not a nice article, but it was not as bad as most when liberals take to pen. He went on about the people being “followers” of Glen Beck and talked about the show, etc. He didn’t use to many big words but couldn’t resist putting in a few, like hyperbolic. But I was caught up about midway through by an ad on the side for Joan Walsh’s blog….. No offense to Koppleman, but his article was tame, trying to paint Glen Beck in a bad light; just like every other liberal in the universe and the tag line of the new left wing warrior was much more incendiary ….Joan Walsh.. a blogger at Salon.com. Now this should wake me up! Since I was more interested in what was being said by the blogosphere rather than the canned article, I clicked on over.– and woohoo, she’s on fire!!

I was insulted after the first five words she penned, she called Americans voicing their opinions; “Astroturf”…. And it was down hill from there. I hope Merriam smiles when I tell you that her article was banal, her sentences trite and her conclusions dull. In total the piece was entirely flat and my hint to the author is; it’s time to stop writing such inane comments and start by putting a little journalistic objectivity in your pieces if you ever want to be taken seriously….

I want to start something, I want everyone when they see these foolish tag names, or mean spirited goofy labels (like astroturf!), click on the send email and send them one thing, “a virtual slap!” “SMACK” YOU’VE BEEN VIRTUALLY SLAPPED FOR YOUR DUMB NAME CALLING!

PS – Start with Alex Koppleman and Joan Walsh at salon.com

PPS – Shameless plug, I have a really good blog at www.rvsisters.ning.com, which is my people network, you can join and do stuff. I also have a travel log I am working on because I have been touring the USA since 2006 with my sister. Drop by..

I am thinking “health care reform” is the wrong phrase to use when describing Obamacare.

What it REALLY is? “Health Care Control”. Let’s stop their pretense about…care. They want to control the rationing of treatments, surgeries, hospital stays, drugs, etc, all determined by the government. They want to fund abortions and deny care to our elders. They want to come into your home and tell you how to raise your children. They want to raise your taxes. They want you to have no recourse against their decisions – you can’t “sue” them. They want access to all your personal records. They want to unconstitutional implement “law” without going thru Congress. You will lose all control of your health care decisions.

So let’s correct their blather about “care”. Call them out on their fake compassion. From now on, I’m calling Obamacare what it truly is.

Health Care Control

So now Harry Reid, that slitherous piece of Nevada reptilian repulsiveness, has called patriots “evil-mongers”.

Actually, after the first pinprick of highly pissed off-ness I felt after reading that, I can only laugh. Our smug and elitist members of Congress are hanging themselves with their own rope. Keep it up, Harry and Nancy! Watching you and your ilk continue apace to malign good people are having an effect, but not the one you intended. You are finally demonstrating for all to see, your level of contempt for the citizens you are paid to represent. While there are thousands of people, er…”evil-mongers”…now taking action at town halls, there are millions more at home, watching. And reading. They are not fooled by Chris Matthews. And these people are judging your disgusting behavior. The polls numbers continue to show rapidly declining support for anything Obama and his minions have touched, and you still persist in the suicidal snarking towards American citizens. Not only are your reprehensible policies being exposed, but your stupidity is amazing. You’re not even a smart politician and that’s lowering the bar considerably.

Harry, we can forgive you calling us “evil”, but I don’t think the American Patriot is going to forgive you being stupid.

I blog on my own site American Writes, as The American Writer; I’ll let you go there to get most of the background.

Back when television was decent, there was a lighthearted show called Hogan’s Heroes, all about life in a German POW Camp. And punishment for

An American Hero Surrounded By Socialist Zeros

any of the Germans who messed up guarding the camp was to be sent to the Russian Front. The mere mention of such an exile brought the highest ranking officers to comical shudders of fear.

Much like the Keystone antics of Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schulz exposed the sheer ridiculousness of Nazism (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or National Socialist German Workers’ Party), I feel as though the inmates are running the asylum, and we’re looking at the advancing Socialist Plague.

I reside in Texas House District 17, one of the most conservative districts in the nation…and am supposed to be represented by Democrat Chet Edwards, who has a more Liberal voting record than Maxine Waters. Yep…that Maxine Waters.

For a week now, we have been trying to get Chet to hold a Town Hall Meeting with us, but he has refused. Steadfastly. You can see more about that here, here, and here.

The "Mob" That Asked Chet Edwards for a Meeting.

Aww, heck, if I keep giving you links like that we’ll both get confused…so here’s the link to the search results for Chet Edwards on my blog. Catch up, now!

So Chet Edwards, while he has made no law abridging our right to redress our grievances with him (a right protected by the First Amendment alongside that assembling thing and those religion and free speech doodads), has refused the spirit of that idea.

But, get this: Chet Edwards, in all his magnanimity, is going to schedule a “Telephone Town Hall” for his entire District. Do I need to spell out how idiotic that is?

Did the Founders foresee telephones and therefore figured the citizen statesman could one day just sit around and take whatever caller he chose from a handpicked list of supporters or those people who had landlines?

No.

They knew the preservation of our government, freedom, and way of life hinged on the very notion that representatives HAD to look their constituents in the EYE and hear them out…maybe even explain themselves.

Hence the concept of the Citizen Statesman. He was supposed to be one of us.

Look at it this way: Will Chet Edwards phone in his campaign for re-election? No!

That would be nice, though…in fact, I might take a pass at calling for a face to face Town Hall Meeting if he promised just to call in his campaign! But he’ll have all the meetings he can muster up and down this district.

So yours truly is on the front line. Video, Audio, and face to face with the guys who work for Chet. Remember, Chet works for me, so those who work for him work for me, too. Right? Well, you wouldn’t know it the way they lie to us and talk down to us. For instance, the day before Chet was to make an appearance at a charitable event, calls to his office wondering what his schedule was for the month of August were answered with “We do not know his schedule.” Right. But that was the answer at all three district offices and his office in Washington, D.C.!

I’m tired of just living my life while the socialists take over and refuse to listen to me.

Socialists do not have to listen to the people…they tell the people what is best for them. By this definition, Chet Edwards is behaving like a Socialist.

Our Founding Fathers spent years writing protestations to the Tyrannical King George. When he taxed them further, and Parliament approved, our

Angry Mobs Tarred and Feathered in the days of our Founding Fathers.

Founding Fathers were no longer letter writers, they were an Angry Mob. Sound familiar? We are not an Angry Mob…yet.

When being an Angry Mob wasn’t enough, brave men rode into the country, stopping at every house to warn that “The Regulars are coming!”

And that fateful morning, April 17, 1775, saw the Angry Mob turned into Revolutionaries. Revolutionaries we call Patriots.

We all know the next step should our pleas for representation go unheeded. And none of us WANTS to go down that road.

If the Rushin’ Front of Socialism gets closer…will you be a Patriot, or will you stand and stammer like Sergeant Schultz: “I knew nothing!”

No Apologies No Surrender!

It is our daughters’ birthday today and we are planning a nice dinner for her and her friends. As I was rushing around this morning, trying to get several things done at once, trying to reflect on what a great young woman she has grown to be, I grew increasingly irritated by the attention I have to give to the menace of government. Listening to talk radio, keeping up with blogs, trying to keep less attentive family and friends “in the loop, writing letters, calling offices, scheduling town hall meetings to attend. It’s time consuming and annoying. It’s frustrating and inconvenient to be on the alert to the nefarious dealings of our President, his advisors and “czars”, and our Congress. Not a day…no, make that an HOUR goes by that some fresh outrage occurs that I learn about, then I spend time pondering it and trying to figure out how to act on it. I rant (mainly to my poor husband) that it’s crazy that a completely average citizen has to act and think in this matter. I falsely imagined that even as we lived in a country with differing opinions, we were essential safe and secure, our Constitutional rights preserved by people that “knew better” than I.

All of those naïve assumptions are out the window. I am now demanded to man up and act as millions of Patriots before me have acted. I will NOT let my children down without a serious fight. I really could less if Nancy Pelosi calls it “un-American”….that woman is a walking definition of un-American.

All patriots called to do battle with the “ruling” elite class are reluctant. We Americans are slow to anger at our own citizens…we want to give everyone, even those we disagree with, benefit of the doubt. “He can’t really mean that…let’s just see what happens”. Or, “well, I don’t know what I can do about this…I’m only one person”. But when the hits just keep coming, to the determent of our freedom and liberties, the Patriot rises in defense of his freedom. And once aroused, the Patriot doesn’t back down.

It’s hard, frustrating, time-consuming work. But compared to the Patriots that fought for our freedoms, as well as every soldier who sacrificed to preserve those freedoms – our work is very easy. We need to educate ourselves in a way that we have neglected over the years of benign acceptance that our government would do right by us. They are NOT interested in our well being. It’s clear to me now. We need to continue to be diligent and confrontational. The administration is hoping very very very hard that we will lose interest and want to return to the safety and comfort of our homes and that we will be intimidating by all the bullying by our Congressman, the media, and others.

I say, be a Patriot. The other option isn’t acceptable.
